A company specializing in custom car modifications for high-security automobiles, limousines, and party buses needed a custom circuit for an electronics charging system. This system mounts to the back of the seat in front of them. The system required elegant moonlighting effects, two-way communication with the driver, USB C fast charging, power seat controls, 120VAC plugs, and current monitoring. They hired a product design company, which subbed out the electronics portion to Henway. Henway explained to the team that powering the electronics would require access to the vehicle’s main power inverter, from which they would create isolated DC supplies for the lighting, speakers, microphones, and device charging.
Henway worked closely with the mechanical designers on the PCB shape and delivered 3D CAD files to ensure everything fit perfectly. By the end of the first phase, Henway provided:
- Estimated production costs.
- A detailed delivery schedule with milestones.
- A document outlining tasks within each development phase.
- Written project requirements and test criteria.
